Important Note
Known Issues
There is a known issue in 5.1.7.796 in the Workflow Editor where the "Use Current Entity" option may not appear. Users may still enter {Entity} manually, or not upgrade the Client software if this is required. This issue will be resolved in the next release.
Upcoming Email Server Changes
Please be aware that in December 2026, Microsoft will begin deprecating Basic SMTP Auth for Client Submission, with completion planned by mid 2027. This means if you are a self-hosted customer using Exchange Online / Microsoft 365, you will need to change the way you send emails.
You can read more about these changes from Microsoft here.
To continue to send emails via 12d Synergy if you are a self-hosted system using Exchange Online / Microsoft 365, you will need to either
- Migrate to 5.1.7.753 or later and upgrade to Entra ID authentication
- Follow Microsoft recommendations as per the link above or move to a third party service that still supports basic auth, like SendGrid etc
Please note that this does not affect cloud customers.
We strongly recommend you talk to your IT team about this to avoid issues that may arise if emails stop sending.
